Navigating Canvas
We will be using Canvas, which can be accessed at canvas.cos.edu, with your universal login. All of your assignments, discussion, and readings will be on Canvas. You will find the course schedule, your grades, and class announcements on our course page. I highly recommend you download the Canvas app on your smartphone to get updates and notifications.
The app is less useful for submitting assignments, but does allow you to submit from Office online or Google drives.
A great habit to start the semester is checking Canvas at the start of your day, so you are aware of any new announcements and what's coming up. The semester moves so quickly, make sure this is a daily habit!
Zoom for Student Appts

Zoom is a video platform that the college uses to host live video session. You can use zoom with your laptop or desktop if you have a webcam and mic access. You can also download the zoom app and use it through your phone. If you need any help, let me know!
For my online students, we will use Zoom for any optional online discussions and for student appointments you make with me.
Microsoft Office
Microsoft Office
Microsoft Office has tools we use, such as Word, which we can use to collaborate and save in our online Office login. You can access Microsoft Word and all the Office Products through your universal login for FREE! Login to you MyGiant Portal and then click on "Office 365 and Email" to access. You can download any of these program to your computer (the desktop version) by clicking on "Install Office" in the top right corner.
