James Maxwell Stutely

I am a PhD candidate (expected completion in 2022) in Economics at McMaster University, specializing in applied microeconometrics.

My research focuses on the economics of aging, especially public pension systems and retirement, and emphasizes the application and, where necessary, the adaptation of microeconometric methods to large-scale administrative data.

I also write Stata software packages, including xtwildf, a wild percentile-F bootstrap procedure that tests for overidentifying restrictions in fixed versus random effects models. This method extends current "small T" panel data methods to look at time invariant correlates of fixed effects.
