NICE TO MEET YOU!
My name is James McCartney and I'm a pixel artist (who loves to dabble in other mediums) from Toronto, Canada. I have a passion for creating worlds, characters, and stories and then bringing them to life myself. I primarily work in pixel art using Aseprite, but I am also an illustrator.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
While I did attend and graduate Art and Design Foundations at Loyalist College, I would say that I am mostly self taught. Any and all tutorials I can get my hands on and many hours spent practicing on my own time has led to this!
INSPIRATIONS AND GOALS:
My biggest inspirations are modern and retro pixel art games, themes of mental health, super heroes, weird and grotesque creatures, comic books, and all things space! My goal is to create games that are not only fun, but speak to you.
