'Forensic metascience' is:
the computational study of
the numerical accuracy of
scientific papers.
There are a series of simple techniques we use to do this. I invented (or helped invent) some of them. In general, these techniques are very easy to understand, and easy to use. The trick is making sure they are deployed correctly. There are lots of other ways to perform forensic meta-analysis as well, especially for analyzing raw data, which I will build a section on in future.
