The Ion Transport and Interfaces Group, led by Dr. James A. Dawson, is dedicated to advancing the design and development of energy materials through state-of-the-art computational modelling.

We are based in the School of Natural and Environmental Sciences at Newcastle University. Our ambition is to improve the fundamental understanding and performance of material structures, properties and interfaces for energy storage, conversion and generation applications by employing atomistic modelling and machine learning techniques.
