Ms. Katie Hazelton

Auxiliary Sponsor/Program Coordinator

Katie Hazelton is a 2009 graduate of Bob Jones High School and was a three year member of both the BJ Color Guard and Winter Guard. She holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Alabama.

She started working with the JCHS Guard Program in 2012 with the inception of JCHS under the direction of Mrs. Kendra Harper. Duties those first two year included helping with anything needed during summer band camp. She started working full time with the guard program in the spring of 2014 with the 2014 winter guard. From there, her duties have expanded to working as head guard instructor in April 2016. As of Spring 2026 she is serving as Auxiliary sponsor and program coordinator.

Mrs. Shelby Treadway

Color Guard Sponsor

Shelby Treadway began serving as Color Guard Sponsor in 2025, bringing with her years of performance experience and a deep passion for the activity. She is a 2013 Pelham High School graduate and performed with the Color Guard and Winter Guard programs. She continued her guard experience at Auburn University as a member of the Auburn Tiger Eyes Flag Line.

Mrs. Treadway holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management from Auburn University and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Biology. As both an educator and sponsor, she is committed to fostering a positive, structured, and encouraging team environment. She is dedicated to helping students grow in confidence as performers while also developing valuable life skills such as responsibility, perseverance, leadership, and teamwork that will serve them well beyond their time in color guard.

Ms. Savannah Williams

Color Guard Assistant Coach

Savannah Williams graduated from James Clemens High School in 2024, where she was an active member of both the colorguard and winterguard programs. She began her colorguard journey in 8th grade and continued to grow her skills throughout high school by participating on both teams. During her time in the program, she served as a rank leader her junior year and captain her senior year. After graduating, she went on to perform with Laquest for the 2025 winterguard season. In fall 2024, she returned to the program as a staff member, where she enjoys helping performers improve technique and build confidence. She is currently a student at Athens State University, majoring in Elementary Education.

Color Guard Choreographer

Ms. G began working the JCHS Color Guard program in 2019. He primarily choreographs for our competition color guard and Varsity Winter Guard.

Dance Line

Ms. Samantha Fotovich

Dance Line Instructor/Choreographer

Ms. Samantha graduated from the University of North Alabama in 2014 with a degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Education.

Ms. Samantha has been teaching dance for over 15 years in the Huntsville and the Shoals. Her work has earned multiple first place, overall, and judges choice awards at regional dance competitions.

She is excited to be a part of the James Clemens Auxiliary family!

Ms. Leslie Ku

Dance Line Assistant Coach

Leslie Ku graduated from James Clemens High School in 2024, where she was a member of the JC Danceline and she served as the co-captain her junior year and then captain her senior year. She began working with the Danceline as a staff member in 2025 and is passionate using her experience as a former member to help create a positive, supportive, and rewarding experience for every dancer. She has been dancing over 6 years and her passion continues to grow as she works with the Jettes. She is currently a student at The University of Alabama in Huntsville majoring in Elementary Education.
