This past June I joined the long ridge fire department in north Stamford as a Junior Volunteer member. As a volunteer member you can go to to trainings and monthly meeting but you can also ride the truck and go to calls and start learning the basics of the trucks and the care that is needed.
When I went to Maine i didn't realize that there are wild blueberry's so when we were sitting around at the campground we went on a walk. When we were on a walk we decided to go pick blueberry's even thought they were not in season.
When we were also in Maine we went on a 4 hour kayaking Tour. During our kayaking tour we saw the guys boat that owns harbor freight. during our kayaking tour we encountered some really big 10 foot waves and i looked over and i could not even see the other kayak that was 15 feet away from us .
Some goal's for me are to get better at taking pictures in general but during photo 2 just want to have fun taking photography 2. I am looking forward to taking more film pictures and processing them in the dark room. I want to improve on the film part of photography but In the real world everything is digital so i also want to get better at digital.
Project 1: Idea Board

I chose this photo because the words in this photo go deeper in that depth of field

The life of music
reflections
reflection
the first step that I took to take this photo is I had to type all the reflects and copy and adjust them so they all had that diagonal line
the meaning of this photo is that I wanted the word reflect to not to show up on Amy's sweatshirt.
this image is saying how it is kind of reflecting on her face but not projecting on her sweatshirt
i chose this word because it's a projection project and messed with it not projecting on her sweatshirt

1. What was your theme? my theme was reflections
2. How do you feel you expressed the theme in your photographs? Use specific examples/evidence I feel like I expressed it well but I could have taken some better photos
3. How well do you feel you planned for the photographs? Use specific examples/evidence I feel like I planned it well even thought I didn't follow it I still completed it
4. Explain how you feel about your first roll of film this year? Are you satisfied with the results? why/why not yes I am satisfied with the results and this is the first time I used a filter too
5. Explain why you chose to make the 2 enlargements - what was the criteria you used to choose them as your final enlargements I made those 2 enlargements because they are abstract photos but they still have the reflections in them.
6. How do you feel you did with printing the enlargements? How satisfied are you with the results? why/why not I feel like I did well and that I think I used too many test strips but I had to use the filter so I feel like it was ok
7. What would you like to improve upon? next time I feel like I could know earlier that I needed a filter
8. What advise would you give to yourself looking back at this roll of film and enlargements?
I feel like I did well and could have finished Wednesday if we didn't have a half day
Project 7: Multiple Exposures
Idea Board: Film
Idea Board: Digital
Digital photos edited:
Digital photos not edited:
The parked snow
The Broken TV
What was YOUR process? My process was think of a good 2 photos that can go together without editing them a bunch. but also thinking of what I did before i did it
How did you get your ideas? I got my ideas of when I did the idea board that hand photo I thought it looked cool if I took a photo of snow somehow
How did you photograph for the assignment? I used my own camera
Did your ideas change as you started editing the images? not really i just edited the brightness and contrast
How do you feel the meaning of the images changed once you put the 2 images I felt like the Tv one was good but the snow wasn't as good
together? (Describe both images)
How do you feel the final images turned out? I feel like the TV one is good but the parked snow bas worse
If you could do this project again would you change anything? If so what? I woud change the concept and maybe do light painting and leave the Tv how it is
Project 7: Extra Credit Film Multiple exposures
Photo 1- Elements of art
Photo 2- Reflection
Project 8: Abstract Photo
I think abstract photography for us is not setting up a station, abstract for us is just walking around and taking photos kind of like street photography but not really
What is Wabi-sabi? this is a photographer that basically took a camera and took photos of what looked cool with the rain photos
I am going to the band room and maybe the wood shop depends on what i take photos of like cybmals and if i like them
abstract photography described by me is the opposite of what most photographers do so most photographers set up there lighting and a shot to be abstract is just walking around kind of like street photography ideas some people wouldn't come up with
information up above
I gained info from his work that you can actually take multiple photos and put them together like multiple people
I used an idea of multiplicity but I kind of messed around with a laser with multiplicity
I feel like I made my work unique
Annoyed I chose this photo because this chicken looked annnoyed
Aggravated I chose this photo because all the peices of wood are perfect except that one peice which is annoying
I kind of used the photographers idea of the lines in the photo with the skid
this made my photos different because not much people would think to take a photo of a skid just sitting there
I feel like I made my work different by using something that moves and like something that doesn't move
I am most proud of the retangles not leaving a mark really in front of the chicken
I feel like most challenging was actually finding and thinking of what we wanted to photograph
I would have given a radious maybe like only in the courtyard and a little more time to look deeper in depth to things
Project 9: Obscured Portrait
first i am going to start off with the hands covering my face then i am going to try to take the blurry face photos or try to take them because i think that would look cool. i am going to try to explain myself in these photos without showing the meaning behind it. I might need some flowers or something but I might take those at home. I think i am going to try more of a darker look at first and see how it goes. i don't really need experimenting and i am just going to edit the photos with mostly exposure contrast and saturation but i might turn some black and white i don't know yet.
Project 9: Obscured Portrait blog reflection

Shadows of life
in the meadows
1,2, or 3
Yes I think these photos represent my identity because I like nature a lot and because I like to enjoy nature like some kids stay inside all summer I like to go outside and bike or work I like to do something outside.
when I was brainstorming I saw the photo of the trees and I kind of liked that idea but I tried it and I like my photos better
No I saw this as easy project but I liked it, it was fun
Yes I found this project was successful if you foucased on this you coud have got it done nicely
Project 10: Lens Flare Idea board
Project 10: Lens Flare Shot list
I plan to go outside and get some photos of flowers, chickens, and I honestly might go out to the baseball field and take tome photos like the one of the kid in that photo. I also want to take a photo of the grass like that if I can or photo of me siting on the bench. like the photo of grass I put above

Project 10: Lens Flare Blog Reflection
Christmas time
Orange of spring
Gladiator or Wrangler?
NO TREES!
WHY did you choose this?- I chose this project because I never have taken photos directly at the sun and I thought it actually looked pretty cool but if there's no sun its hard to take photos like this
HOW did you go about working on this project? (What was your creative process?)- My creative process was research it and I kind of saw it on the screen when i was taking the photos and I moved my angle till I liked it they when I edited it it turned out like that
Are you PLEASED with the results? WHY OR WHY NOT?- Yes I am pleased with the photos of this work I actually like these photos a like especially the no trees and the jeep
You have $100 to go back and spend on whatever you want(school appropriate) to work on this project....what would you do with the money? i probably want a mirrorless camera but if i cant get that maybe a big light to put on the Christmas time photo
Choose 1 of your final edits to give as a gift, which one and who would you give it to and why? if i had to give one away i would probably give the jeep photo to whose ever jeep because its the persons car and a good photo it is and i like the no trees a lot
Project : Photo of a day
my first theme was outside my window but then i switched my theme to the outside window of the classroom.
10-26-23 was in the fall and the trees were changing colors
4-24-24 was when the trees didn't have any leaves on them
5-24-24 was today when all the trees are now green and the temperature is going up
i really like the new photo today a lot how it has that nice dark green.
i learned that you can do this till the day you die and this would be a cool project to do and see what changes happens over the years
this could help you as a photographer because you can stay focused on your goal over a long term project.
If i was doing this again i would take it more seriously and actually take one everyday to see what changes and i would take it in the same spot everyday so its exactly the same
I think we could use this technique if were ever doing a long term job or someone who wants to see how like there house changes from being built.
i liked this project if we had class everyschool day because you would have gotten every single school day if you were here and actually did it and that would be cool
