Christoph Goro KIMURA will present the language "Esperanto". Christoph Goro Kimura is professor at the Faculty of Foreign Studies, Sophia University, Tokyo. He specializes in sociolinguistics, especially focusing on the social functions of second and foreign languages, interlingual communication, as well as the revitalization of minority languages in Europe and Japan. German, Japanese, Esperanto, English, Sorbian, Polish and Koine Greek are languages he uses on a daily basis.

The presentation will be in Japanese.

国際語として計画されたエスペラントの歴史的背景をおさえたうえで、現在、どのように使われているかを、ヨーロッパ、アメリカ、アフリカ、アジア各地の人びととエスペラントを使って交流してきた自身の経験を含めて紹介します。
