JAL

Need

Due to enormous demographic pressure, a wide range of environmental diversity, water shortages, extremely frequent droughts, deforestation, biodiversity threats, etc. that would intensify owing to climate change predictions, the analysis, and monitoring of water Physico-chemical parameters is crucial for Asian and African countries. To address these water challenges in collaboration with other disciplines, new Scientific Experts who can effectively guide the students, and common people are needed.

Solution

Dr. Sarang Dhote, an Assistant Professor in the Chemistry Department, founded the Center JAL at the Shri Shivaji Science College in Nagpur to address this problem. Nearly 12 institutes from Asia and 13 from Africa are working together to support the JAL on this independently funded project.

JAL

Joint Asian-African Labs (JAL) is on-site, in-the-moment techniques for testing water and platform-like settings for keeping track of the numerous water characteristics.

JAL offers a field lab to create, test, and validate Physico-chemical water parameters that incorporate technologies and their integration, as well as a mix of cutting-edge regulations based on the importance of water.

In order to promote cross-disciplinary cooperation and the development of novel and inventive approaches to water difficulties, JAL aspires to establish an international multilevel network of students, professors, professionals, and stakeholders in the field of water resources.
