Jal Drishti ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Jal Drishti mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting the privacy of the irrigation officers, supervisors, and technicians who use our App.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data and information when you use our App.
Jal Drishti is a utility tool designed exclusively for canal monitoring and water resource management. We only collect the minimum amount of information required for core app functions:
Account Credentials: When you log in, we collect your official email address and password to authenticate your access scope (provided via Supabase Auth).
Profile Metadata: We display your assigned name and official role (e.g., Chief Engineer, Assistant Engineer) as configured by your organization's database administrator.
Notification Tokens: To deliver daily water level summaries and critical overflow alerts, we register your device's unique push token. These tokens are handled securely and are never shared with third parties.
Our App requests specific native permissions to perform operations. Here is how they are used:
Phone / Calling: The App includes an active directory showing contact numbers for technicians and assigned officers. Tapping a phone number opens your device's native Phone app to place the call. We do not access your call logs, record call details, or dial numbers automatically.
Network & Storage: We access the internet to sync canal levels from our database and use local device storage (AsyncStorage) to cache reading histories, saving bandwidth.
Location: The App displays the physical coordinates of canal monitoring nodes for reference. The App does not track, collect, or share the active GPS location of your mobile device.
All data syncs and authentication procedures are hosted securely on Supabase database systems. We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal credentials or metadata.
Our App is strictly intended for official use by professional irrigation officers and technicians aged 18 and older. We do not collect any information from children.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with the updated effective date.
