On April 15th, 2022 my basketball team (Dominican University of California) and I took a trip down to the St. Anthony's foundation in San Francisco and spent the morning and afternoon serving lunches, cleaning tables, and preparing future meals for those in need. It was an amazing and humbling opportunity to go and serve a community that is struggling. In my opinion, there is no greater thing you can do in this world than serve others.
"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.”

Visitation Catholic School
On November 2nd, the Pacific Men's basketball team and I went to Visitation Catholic School in Forest Grove, and helped prepare sausages for the Verboort Sausage & Kraut Festival. Intrigued by the chance to engage with the community and support a local event, I eagerly signed up, hoping it would provide a unique way to connect with fellow volunteers and contribute to a community tradition. During the event, starting at 10:00 am, I found myself working alongside a diverse group of volunteers, forming sausages on the line and moving the uncooked creations to a storage room at Visitation Catholic School. Despite initially being recognized as new, the other volunteers warmly welcomed me, showing me the ropes and making me feel comfortable within 15 minutes. The experience surpassed my expectations, offering not only a sense of accomplishment but also a genuine connection with the community. In reflection, this volunteer opportunity perfectly aligned with my desire to connect with the community and make a meaningful contribution.
