I grew up in a big family of athletes and coaches, with volleyball always around me. Many of the women in my family played, so I spent a lot of time watching and learning the game.
My high school didn’t have a boys team, but our girls varsity coach had coached my mom, sister, and cousins. She let me step in as a team manager, and that’s where everything clicked. By 16, I was driving an hour to play club volleyball and spending just about every free moment in the gym.
I went on to play at the University of Wisconsin, where I earned Big Ten Men’s Volleyball Association Defensive Player of the Year honors twice.
Right after college, I jumped into coaching at Wisconsin and continued on to Missouri State, Oklahoma, Illinois State, Michigan State, and Alabama.
Over 13 years, I helped programs win conference championships, reach NCAA tournaments, and develop All-Americans and award-winning players—but what mattered most to me was the people.
I’ve always loved helping athletes navigate the journey—from the very beginning of recruiting to the moment they step on the court in a college jersey. That’s the passion behind what I’m building now.
