FLAT BAR
The Stainless Steel Flat Bars can be manufactured using different types of ss including ferritic, austenitic, martensitic and duplex. The material of the flat bars can vary according to its composition, however, the most used among them is the austenitic type. Depending on the steel grade with which the flat bars are made, it can be used in a wide range of applications. For example, the 316 grade ss helps to resist chloride ion corrosion and hence they are widely used in several marine applications. They are also used in applications that require higher structural strength. They can withstand elevated temperatures of up to 870 degrees C.
Polished vs Brushed
A Polished Stainless Steel Flat Bar has a very shiny appearance and they are capable of resisting corrosion better. They can withstand the corrosive environments much better than roughly polished ss flat bars and thus, they are mainly used in aggressive environments, like nuclear industries or off-shore oil drilling companies.
The Brushed Stainless Steel Flat Bars comes with a dull polish and they are basically made with the help of friction. Rather than enhancing the properties of the flat bars, it helps in enhancing its appearance. The brushed finish has a very distinctive look with little luster and very fine lines.
Selected technical, architectural, and fabrication firms choose our HRAP Flat Bar for a variety of applications. For certain needs, we provide HRAP flats in standard and custom grades and dimensions. Our HRAP Flats are produced using premium materials and strict quality control techniques, and they are completed to a high standard.
