One of the most amazing drives in the world.
The route today will follow the Atlantic Road, a unique stretch of road linked by small islands which takes you right out to the ocean's edge.
In 2005, the road was voted Norway's «Engineering Feat of the Century», and is also known as one of the world's most beautiful drives.
The route will go back to the same hotel in Kristiansund.
Another unforgettable route, driving the thrilling Trollstigen Road and arriving to Geiranger, one of the most famous and probably the most beautiful Fiord in Norway.
The stay will be at the Hotel Union in Geiranger.
Today the cars will remain parked as our group enjoys a beautiful boat cruise on the Geiranger Fiord.
The Geirangerfjord is on a lot of people’s bucket list and is a must see when travelling in western Norway, and the best way to do this is by boat.
When you see it, you will understand why the Geirangerfjord is on UNESCO’s World Heritage list.
The fjord is surrounded by a pristine landscape of steep, tall mountains and cascading waterfalls such as the Knivsflå waterfalls which are known as the Seven Sisters and the Suitor.
The route to Flam is 173 miles. A great drive that will take our group from Geiranger to Flam.
As you leave Geiranger and wind your way up the steepest section of route 63, along its eleven switchbacks hanging 1800 feet above the fjord below, you’ll understand why it’s called “the Eagle Road”.
Fantastic scenery and roads through mountains, lakes, valleys and fiords.
Stay in Flam will be at the Fretheim Hotel.
The Flåm Railway is close by so no driving today. It has been described as one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world. The train runs from the end of Aurlandsfjord, a tributary of the Sognefjord, up to the high mountains at Myrdal station. The journey features the finest aspects of the stunning scenery of Western Norway.
From the comfort of a vintage train compartment, you can enjoy the changing scenery of the Flåm Valley. The sparkling blue river follows the railway for large parts of the trip, and you will pass small farms in locations you’d think no one could live.
The train takes a stop at the Kjosfossen waterfall where you can disembark and go out onto the platform.
Today our group will start the return towards Oslo, and the recommended route will again be through great scenic roads, this time our tulip notes will guide you across the Hallingskarvet National Park (137 miles).
The stay will be at the Norefjell Ski & Spa, where a farewell dinner will take place.
Our hotel is just 65 miles from Oslo.
