Jagsin Clock

This Privacy Policy explains how Jagsin (“we”, “us”), operator of jagsina.com, handles information when you use the Android app Jagsin Clock (package name: com.jagsin.jagsin_clock.test).

Jagsin Clock is a large analog clock with date, weather, optional lock-screen clock, home-screen widget, and alarms. It is not a password manager. It does not read other apps’ screens.

1. What the app does

• Show analog time, date, day, year

• Temperature using your location and Open-Meteo. Weather is on until you turn it off.

• Optional lock-screen clock overlay (draws our clock only)

• Home-screen widget

• Alarms and notifications

• Optional time sync over the network (NTP)

• Colour / language / size settings stored on the device

The Play build does not use an Android Accessibility Service. The lock clock uses overlay / full-screen intent / foreground service paths described in the app. It does not read your notifications from other apps and does not see passwords you type in other apps.

2. Information we collect

A. On the device only

• Clock appearance (colours, numbers language, sizes)

• Whether weather, lock clock, widget and alarm are on

• Alarm time and label

• Last weather reading cache as needed to show the face

B. Weather

Weather is on until you turn it off. While it is on, the app requests location permission and sends latitude and longitude, each to 4 decimal places, to https://api.open-meteo.com/v1/forecast. The request asks only for the current temperature. Open-Meteo receives that request. Jagsin does not store those coordinates on a Jagsin server. Turn weather off to stop the requests. Four decimal places is tighter than a city. This policy does not call that location approximate.

C. If you turn time sync on

• The app queries a public NTP time source through the flutter_ntp library (commonly Google Public NTP, time.google.com) so the hands stay accurate. That is a time query, not your files or contacts.

D. We do not collect

• An account or email inside the clock app

• Contacts, SMS, camera, microphone

• Advertising ID for ads (no ads)

• Analytics SDKs

If Android Backup is on for your Google account, Android may back up app settings (allowBackup is on). That backup is controlled by Google/Android, not by a Jagsin server.

3. How we use information

• To draw the clock, widget, lock clock and alarm

• To fetch temperature only when weather is enabled

• To correct time when sync is enabled

We do not sell this information. We do not use it for ads.

4. Who we share with

• Open-Meteo — only if weather is on (coordinates + IP as part of HTTPS).

• NTP operator — only if time sync runs (time query + IP).

• We do not run a Jagsin cloud account for this clock. Settings stay on the phone unless Android Backup copies them.

5. Permissions (Android) — why they exist

• INTERNET — weather (optional) and NTP (optional)

• ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION / ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION — Weather starts on. Turn weather off, or refuse the location permission, to stop the Open-Meteo request.

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — alarms and clock runtime notices

• SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM — alarm at the time you set

• USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT — alarm or lock clock over the lock screen

• SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW (display over other apps) — lock-screen clock overlay; it draws our clock face only

• FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE / WAKE_LOCK / REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS — keep the analog clock and lock clock on live time, including when the phone is picked up

• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — restore alarms / clock helpers after reboot

• VIBRATE — alarm

• REORDER_TASKS — bring the clock helper to the front when needed

6. Security

Weather and NTP use HTTPS/NTP as those services provide. Location is used only for weather and only while that setting is on.

7. Delete data

Turn weather off. Uninstall the app, or clear app storage in Android settings. That removes local settings and alarm times. We do not keep a cloud copy of your clock face.

8. Children

Anyone can look at a clock. The app is not Designed for Families. We do not create child accounts. Weather is on until it is turned off. Turn weather off to stop location requests. The app does not create an account.
