Jagsin Player Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Jagsin Player (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Android music player application and related services.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: If you sign up or sign in for Pro, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. We may also store a display name and avatar choice you set in the App.

• Cloud sync profile data (when logged in): Vibe DNA listening progress (listening time and play counts), playlists metadata, and favorites metadata so your progress can restore after reinstall or on another device.

• Local music / media access: The App reads music metadata and file references on your device to list and play your songs. Your audio files stay on your device; we do not upload your song files to our servers.

• Internet radio: When you use Radio, the App contacts public radio-directory servers to list stations and streams audio from the station URLs you select. We do not host those streams.

• Podcasts: When you use Podcasts, the App searches publicly available podcast directories and plays episode audio from the publisher’s feed/enclosure URLs you select. We do not host podcast files. Search uses https://itunes.apple.com/search and https://itunes.apple.com/lookup.

• Cast to TV: Optional Cast sends the stream URL of Radio/Podcasts (or other network media) to a Cast-compatible device you choose on your network.

• Notifications: Used for media playback controls while music is playing.

• Optional microphone access: Only if you use optional visualizer / home-screen widget waveform features. We do not record or upload microphone audio to our servers. You can deny this permission and still use core playback.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide local music playback and media controls

• Create and manage your Pro account

• Sync and restore profile, Vibe DNA, playlists and favorites

• Unlock Pro themes and avatars linked to your account

• Operate, secure, and improve the App

• Respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Permissions

• Music and audio / storage (as required by Android version): to find and play local songs

• Notifications: playback notification and controls

• Internet: optional Pro login/signup, cloud sync, lyrics lookup, radio/podcast directories, streaming, Cast discovery and policy links

• Microphone (optional): optional visualizer / widget waveform only

• Foreground service (media playback): continue playing when the app is in the background

• Network state: used to manage online Radio/Podcasts/Cast features

5. Data Storage and Security

The app sends the password to the Jagsin player server at jagsin.in. This policy does not name the hashing method.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

6. Account Deletion and Data Reset

Settings includes Reset Profile. That action is not full deletion of the login. Full deletion of the account is not available inside the app. Email info@jagsin.in from the address used to register and ask for deletion. Sending that email does not by itself delete the account.

7. Children’s Privacy

Jagsin Player is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

8. Third-Party Services

If you open lyrics, the app sends the track title and artist to https://lrclib.net/api/get and stores the returned lyrics on the phone. Podcast search uses the iTunes addresses in section 2. Radio uses public station directories and then the station’s own stream. Cast sends a stream address to a device you choose on your network. Those services receive the request for the feature you opened. Jagsin does not send your song file with those requests.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised policy.
