Dr. R. Jaganathan is a passionate and burgeoning researcher in the expansive field of computational biology. He currently holds the position of Research Faculty (Assistant Professor) at the Centre for Global Health Research (CGHR), Saveetha Medical College and Hospitals, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), Saveetha University, Chennai, India. Following the completion of his Ph.D., Dr. Jaganathan advanced his research career as a Research Associate in the Department of Computational Data Sciences at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India. His scholarly contributions include many research articles published in esteemed international journals underscoring his leading role in several key studies. His research predominantly revolves around disease-oriented drug discovery, with a particular emphasis on Cancer and COVID-19, utilizing a wide array of computational tools and servers.
His interests extend to druggable peptides, vaccine development, drug repurposing, and the application of monoclonal antibodies in immunotherapy. Throughout his doctoral studies, he significantly contributed to various experimental research groups, including those in the fields of chemistry and life sciences. His expertise is further highlighted by his proficiency in managing High-Performance Cluster (HPC) computing facilities for conducting molecular dynamics simulations. This blend of computational prowess and collaborative efforts underscores his substantial impact on the field of computational biology.
