This project focuses on analyzing hospital admission data to gain insights into patient trends and hospital resource utilization. Using data analytics techniques, the analysis highlights patterns in admission types, illness severity, ward distribution, and hospital capacity. These insights help support better healthcare management and data-driven decision making.
The objective of this project was to analyze hospital admission data to understand patient trends, illness severity, and hospital resource utilization. The goal was to identify meaningful insights that could assist hospitals in improving operational efficiency and patient care.

Patient Admissions
Trauma admissions accounted for 30.4% of patients, representing the largest admission category.
Only 2.3% of trauma cases required hospital stays exceeding 100 days.
Prolonged stays were also observed in emergency and urgent admissions.
Illness Severity
Patients with moderate illness severity formed the largest group compared to minor and extreme cases.
Ward Distribution
Among the five wards, Ward R recorded the highest number of cases, indicating a higher patient load.
Hospital Utilization
Hospital code 26 showed the highest number of available rooms, suggesting opportunities for improving capacity utilization.
Through this project, hospital admission data was analyzed to uncover patterns in patient admissions, illness severity, and hospital resource usage. The insights generated from this analysis can help hospitals improve resource allocation, better manage patient flow, and enhance operational efficiency.
