I am very energetic and try to be playful in all the collections that I make whether the style is minimal or maximal. However, at the same time, I mostly am a very realistic dreamer which comes with both pros and cons — I am able to think critically and plan ahead for my designs but I worry the practical side of myself could possibly limit my mind from expanding creativity. Before I design I always keep such questions in mind: Who could wear it? When they could wear it? How could they wear it? What is special about this garment? Is it functional or practical?
In order to make high-quality collections, I discipline myself by setting up multiple goals and challenges. The qualities I have as a person such as being critical, self-disciplined have significantly helped me develop my skills such as problem-solving and fine-crafting throughout all the collections that I made and shaped me into a unique creator. I believe creative sources surround me at all times; my inspirations often come from movies, books, art movements, places, and nature.
As a young generation of designer and student, I am very open-minded on any styles or categories in fashion and believe that every category in fashion has its own charming points. Nevertheless, looking back at the collections I made, I found myself favoring women’s casual, simple, and formal wear. Furthermore, I realized that I have been focusing on showing elegance and femininity from the silhouette of the garments. In terms of designing and making a new collection I concentrate on the elements like silhouette, the balance of colors and proportions, and understanding the forms where these elements are something that I would like to carry with me into the future.
