Calapor is a 2013 Bollywood thriller film produced by A. Durga Prasad and by directed by Dinesh P. Bhonsle. The film is a taut thriller, set in the backdrop of a jail. It is a modern story of reformation. The film provokes thoughts about the nature of human being while infusing hope that there is good in every human being.[1] The film is slated for 2 August 2013 release.[2] The Song "Bindaas" was choreographed by Jeet Singh.

On July 31, Kiran Bedi, known for her passion for prison reforms ever since her stint as in-charge of New Delhi's Tihar jail, had said at a press meet that she would appeal to Parrikar asking him to make the film tax-free.

"I would urge the Goa chief minister to make the film tax-free so the word spreads. Like 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' has been made tax-free, and that's promotion of sports, and by making it tax-free it will also be spreading prison reforms and coming together of three PPP (denoting the government, public service officials and the people)," Bedi told reporters in Kolkata.

Calapor is a 2013 Indian movie directed by Dinesh P. Bhonsle starring Rituparna Sengupta, Priyanshu Chatterjee, Raghubir Yadav and Harsh Chhaya. The feature film is produced by A. Durga Prasad and the music composed by Arjuna Harijai.

At the promo, Kiran said she hoped that the government would make this film tax-free so that it could be seen by the masses. She thinks this is important because although India lags behind technologically when it comes to the prison system, it is light years ahead when it comes to actual reformation. She knows this for fact, she said, because she has been to over 40 prisons around the world.

Rituparna Sengupta is getting ready for her next release, a dance drama called Calapor.

"It is one of the most challenging dances in my life," she says. "Being a Manipuri and Odissi dancer, Kathak was very different for me. I never expected that a simple medium of dance could be so revolutionary."

Choreographed by Sonia Parchure, the film is based on a dance drama called Matruchaya, which is a modern day story of jail reformation.

A part of the film was recently shot in Goa, and also stars Priyanshu Chatterjee, Raghubir Yadav, Harsh Chhaya, Binny Sharma, P Subbaraju, Aziz Naseer and debutant Aakash Sharma. be457b7860
