Hi Benjamin, once you've switched to a commercial version of Maya and you open the files you created with the student License, you will still be prompted with the message: 'The file being saved was created by a Student Version of Maya intended for personal learning only. If you save the file, this message will always appear whenever the file is opened.'
This message is obviously quite annoying, especially when working with reference files. You can remove the watermark/message prompt by saving your files in mayaAscii-format and then opening the file in a text editor like WordPad. Remove the line that says 'fileInfo "license" "student";' and save. When you re-open the file in Maya, you should be good to go. These actions can also be automated with a script, which saves time.

it puts the watermark around each sides of the drawing if i remember from my college days. I do not know about the "perpetual" option. but i do know that if you create the drawing in a student version, it will alwase have the watermark, even if you open the file in a full version of Autocad.
The student version of AutoCAD is functionally identical to the full commercial version, with one exception: DWG files created or edited by a student version have an internal bit-flag set (the "educational flag".) When such a DWG file is printed by any version of AutoCAD (commercial or student), the output will include a plot stamp / banner on all four sides.
I don't know if this is still the case or not, but if you opened a "student version" drawing in a commercial version of acad, then the commercial version of acad becomes "infected" with the student version watermark. So be careful there.
Also if you send a drawing created with a student version to a company and they use part of it, even if they simply copy and paste a block from that to a drawing done in full ACAD, the watermark will "infect" the original drawing too.
yeh they only use the watermark feature to obviously tackle copyright and infringment of the terms/conditions of the user agreement you agree to, the only thing that bugged me, backing up what GE... said is that if any drawing comes in contact with a student edition it INFECTS it with the "PRODUCED USING EDUCATIONAL SOFTWARE" on all four sides, how annoying that was.
Look, I'm just trying to buy a license for LabVIEW student edition. I cannot seem to find it, and yet the software requires a license. Where does one buy this? Every single article I find on the subject is about how to enter the license once I buy it, but I cannot for the life of me figure out HOW to actually buy it.
Alternatively a school or university could enter into an academic license deal with National Instruments that allowed them to install LabVIEW on all school owned computers and optionally also provide a copy to their students taking classes.

This study, the initial phase of a 2-year longitudinal series, examined measurement properties of the Jefferson Scale of Physician Empathy (JSPE) adapted for administration to health profession students (JSE-HPS version), and investigated group differences of empathy scores in the baccalaureate nursing (BSN) program within the College of Health Professions at a public university in the southeastern part of the USA. The 20-item survey and a demographic questionnaire were completed by 265 BSN students. Correlational analyses, t-test, and analysis of variance were used to examine internal relationships and group differences. Results showed the median item-total score correlation was statistically significant (0.42). The internal consistency of the scale (Cronbach's coefficient ) was 0.78, falling within the generally agreed standard. Test-retest reliability coefficients were acceptable at 0.58 (within 3 months interval) and 0.69 (within 6 months interval) between testing. Women scored higher than men and older students outscored younger classmates. No significant relationship was found between empathy scores and ethnicity, previous non-nursing degree, or importance of religion to the participant. These findings support measurement properties of the JSE-HPS version, and can bolster the confidence of researchers in using the Scale for measuring empathy in diverse health profession students, as one component of program evaluation as well as evaluating interprofessional learning activities among diverse healthcare professional students and interprofessional collaboration. be457b7860
