"Certainly the best times were when I was alone with mathematics, free of ambition and pretense, and indifferent to the world."
- Robert Langlands
Hello! My name is Jaeho Haan.
My research area is number theory, particularly automorphic forms and the Langlands program.
My research interests include:
Gan–Gross–Prasad conjecture
Special values of L-functions
Periods of automorphic forms
Theta correspondence
Non-tempered automorphic representations
More broadly, I am interested in understanding how non-tempered phenomena arise in period problems and what they reveal about the emerging framework of relative Langlands theory.
I love every aspect of mathematics. I enjoy thinking through complex problems, and I also find great joy in discussing and teaching mathematics at all levels.
Upcoming conferences!
The Gross–Zagier Formula, 40 Years Later (ICM 2026 Satellite Conference, MIT, Cambridge, MA), August 3–7, 2026.
Many thanks to KAIST and the organizers of the conference for full travel support.
Number Theory and Representation Theroy: The Legacy of Benedic Gross, and beyond (Conference, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA) March 15–19, 2027.
A conference honoring the mathematical legacy of Benedict (Dick) Gross. I hope to attend.
Recent talks!
