Hello! I am
Jaehan Im /Jay-Hahn Im/
I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Autonomous Systems Groups and CLeAR Lab
at The University of Texas at Austin.
My research develops control- and game-theoretic foundations for noncooperative coordination in multiagent systems via equilibrium engineering—treating equilibrium as a controllable object to be actively shaped rather than a fixed outcome to be predicted. Applications include air traffic management, autonomous vehicles, and infrastructure systems where self-interested agents must coordinate without centralized control.
Prior to my Ph.D., I worked at Nearthlab Inc. as a research engineer designing autonomous flight guidance algorithms for three years. I have also contributed to large-scale combinatorial optimization for industrial applications, hold several international patents, and authored a commercial science book and several science articles.
