In a faraway kingdom, there lived a crude and selfish prince. He wanted nothing more than to bask in his royal glory and shun the peasants of his kingdom who constantly asked him for his assistance when they could just "help themselves" instead. His father, the king, decides to send him away to a wizard's tower in hopes of teaching him a lesson. The prince, however, believes his father sent him away as a "wizard's slave" so his father could keep the throne for himself. After murdering the wizard, the prince embarks on a journey to kill his father and claim the throne. After murdering and donning the head of a black wolf, however, the prince begins to change as he furthers his quest to claim his "rightful" place on the throne.
