Don’t You Ever Use Public Internet, Wi-Fi – Jaden Garza

I’ve been saying this to so many people in my circle but still, they don’t care. They don’t understand the magnitude of what I say, or what I mean. Public internet connections and Wi-Fi are meant to breach your privacy.

Insecure networks, false hotspots, session hijacking, and whatnot – everything is rigged. People don’t even know when their data gets leaked. All of this happening in just a snap of fingers.

Whether you are connecting to free Wi-Fi on the road, airport, a hotel, or a coffee shop, just don’t do it. Never. Back off immediately. Avoid doing it at any cost. Why? Who am I to say all this? Well, I’m Jaden Garza, the owner and CEO of Nomad Internet – a company that provides internet solutions mainly Wi-Fi modems, which are lightning fast up to 200 mb/s, provide unlimited data usage, and are available in any part of the United States even if the location is highly isolated, rural, or remote.

So, I think as an individual who knows what goes behind the scenes of Wi-Fi modems, adapters, etc., I have the accolades to talk about this public internet, Wi-Fi issue.

The major problem is the insecurity. Public Wi-Fi networks are not protected on a frequent basis, therefore, making them susceptible to interception by anyone who is using the same network. So, that puts a lot on the line – your passwords, email data, financial transactions, personal data, and god knows what else.

The next big problem is session hijacking. If you’re using an unprotected Wi-Fi network, any advanced hacker who knows how to get under the skin of your network, can hijack your current sessions. Guess what, they will have access to whatever you are doing on your screen. That’s scary.

Moral of the story – don’t use public internet or public Wi-Fi. For God's sake, please don’t.

You must know the risks associated with it and also tell your friends, family, and other people in the circle about it. The risks are great. The risks are unimaginable. You can’t imagine how much personal data people have lost in the past. You can’t imagine how much money they have lost being part of this kind of Wi-Fi data breach.

Security precautions are always necessary when it comes to connecting to an internet connection. No matter if the public Wi-Fi is password protected, it is still vulnerable to threats and cyberattacks.

Make sure you are alert all the time. Sometimes, people keep their Wi-Fi connection switched ON in their mobile phones, which can result in auto-connecting with any open Wi-Fi network while you are on the go. That’s a big blunder. Switch off your phone’s Wi-Fi if it’s not in use. Please be aware of these kinds of things. Please be more cautious. Until then, à bientôt.
