When people ask me why I started Nomad Internet, the answer always goes back to one thing: I built it for people like me. My name is Jaden Garza, and if you’ve heard of Nomad Internet, you probably know we’re trying to change how rural America connects to the digital world. But what you might not know is how personal this mission really is.
I didn’t grow up in a place with blazing-fast Wi-Fi. I didn’t have the tools most entrepreneurs start with. But what I did have was a front-row seat to the digital divide. I saw what it was like to be left behind because of your ZIP code. No one should have to choose between where they want to live and the ability to work, learn, or stay connected. That belief became the foundation of Nomad Internet.
When I launched Nomad, I had no massive funding, no big tech connections—just a clear problem to solve and a stubborn refusal to give up. I knew there were families in RVs, freelancers in cabins, and farmers miles from a cell tower who were sick of overpriced, unreliable internet. I’d been in their shoes. That’s why every decision we make at Nomad is grounded in empathy. Because I’m not just building for customers—I’m building for people I understand.
The journey wasn’t smooth. In fact, the phrase “learn the hard way” could be the subtitle of my career. There were mistakes, missteps, and moments where I questioned everything. But I never lost sight of the goal: to make high-speed internet available for people living off the grid or in underserved towns. Real places. Real people.
When you hear the name “Jaden Garza Nomad Internet,” I don’t want it to sound like a brand campaign. I want it to reflect a mission. We’ve worked to build partnerships with major networks, create plug-and-play solutions, and develop flexible plans that meet people where they are—literally.
I’m proud of what we’ve built, but I’m even prouder of who we’ve built it for. I’ve met customers who’ve launched businesses from their barns, students who now attend school from home, and digital nomads who finally don’t have to park near coffee shops for Wi-Fi. That’s what keeps me going. That’s what matters.
Yes, we’ve faced challenges. Like any fast-growing company, we’ve had to learn, adapt, and stay accountable. But every time someone tells me, “You made it possible for me to live and work where I want,” it reinforces why Nomad Internet exists in the first place.
I never set out to be perfect. I set out to be useful. If the name “Jaden Garza Nomad Internet” stands for anything, let it be a reminder that innovation doesn’t just come from Silicon Valley. It can come from someone who’s been through the trenches and still chooses to build.
And to anyone out there wondering if they’re too far behind, too rural, or too late to the game—don’t count yourself out. I didn’t.
