I interned at VIP Publishing throughout my final year and after I finished college for just over a year in total. I worked three days a week for the publications within the company which include, KISS.IE, STELLAR magazine and VIP magazine. I enjoyed gaining experience in each as they have different readership demographics, and it is important to be able to cater to a variety of audiences. KISS.IE was my main area of work and where I held the most responsibility.
My duties included:
· Contributing writer for KISS.ie - I was lucky to be a part of the re-launch of KISS magazine now as a website. The site caters to teenagers and I thoroughly enjoyed pitching ideas and creating content for younger readers.
· Interviewing celebrity guests- Some stories for the site have required interviews and I was lucky to get to chat to some interesting and talented people. An interview I am particularly proud of is with singer/ social media star Loren Gray for an article on the site. I am comfortable talking to new people and was delighted to be given the responsibility to interview important guests.
· Creating content – As well as pitching and writing articles for the site I also helped to create content for the magazines TikTok page.
STELLAR is another publication in the VIP Publishing family. I wrote for both the website and the print issue of the magazine.
My work here included:
· Contributing writer for STELLAR magazine - I have written features for multiple issues of STELLAR magazine.
· Contributing writer for STELLAR.IE – I pitched and wrote news, features and fashion pieces for the magazine’s website.
· Creating social media content – I was in charge of the Stellar Magazine Instagram account for events such as the TV Now party for their 1000th issue, creating stories and photographing celebrities in attendance.
As part of my final year project in my media entrepreneurship module myself and two others created a mini Mukbang video series called The Dish.
· I co-presented the series with my two classmates, filming and remotely due to pandemic restrictions.
· I ran the show’s Instagram page creating both video, meme and image content for the page as well as running polls and engaging the audience in creative ways.

· As well as writing numerous stories including photo and video content.
