If you want a single, robust connection that handles 100W fast charging for your laptop and powers your headphones simultaneously, choose Jadebones USB C; if you need to share audio with two people or let kids listen quietly while keeping their devices charged on long trips, choose Vcddom USB C.
I have analyzed the specifications of both adapters to help you decide which one fits your specific lifestyle, particularly for active use like cycling or daily commuting where reliability is non-negotiable. Both options solve the same fundamental problem: connecting legacy 3.5mm headphones to modern USB-C devices without sacrificing power. However, the engineering focus differs significantly. One prioritizes raw power delivery for heavy-duty devices, while the other focuses on multi-user audio distribution and high-fidelity sound processing. Understanding these distinct capabilities will save you from buying the wrong dongle for your next ride or commute.
• Jadebones USB C: Delivers up to 100W of power through a sleek metallic finish, making it ideal for users who need to charge laptops while listening to music; its trade-off is a single audio port that doesn't allow for sharing.
• Vcddom USB C: Features dual 3.5mm jacks for splitting audio between two sets of headphones and includes a dedicated DAC chip for Hi-Res sound; its trade-off is a lower 60W charging limit compared to the Jadebones model.
• Best For: Choose Jadebones for solo cyclists or professionals needing maximum charging speed; choose Vcddom for families, couples, or anyone needing shared audio experiences on the go.
The Jadebones adapter is engineered for the user who treats their device as a primary productivity tool rather than just a media player. With a current rating of 5 A and support for 100W fast charging, this dongle is built to handle the power demands of larger devices like laptops and tablets alongside your audio needs. When you are out on a long bike ride, perhaps checking maps or tracking performance on a tablet while listening to a podcast, the ability to pass through 100W of power ensures your device stays topped off without slowing down. The design features a white metallic finish that feels durable and premium in the hand, weighing in at a negligible 11 grams so it never feels like a burden attached to your cable.
This adapter supports a wide range of devices including smartphones, speakers, and laptops, but its true strength lies in its simplicity. It offers a direct, reliable path for audio and power without complex circuitry that might introduce latency or instability. If you are a cyclist who relies on Bluetooth earbuds for navigation cues or music to keep your rhythm, this adapter provides a stable, wired alternative that eliminates battery anxiety. The single 3.5mm headphone jack means you get a clean, dedicated audio stream without the need to manage multiple connections or split signals. It is a "set it and forget it" solution for the solo rider who values efficiency and power above all else.
However, there is a clear limitation you must consider before purchasing. This unit only has one output port for audio. If you are planning a group ride or a family trip where you might want to share your playlist with a partner or a child, this product cannot accommodate that need. You would be stuck choosing between letting someone else listen or keeping the audio to yourself. Furthermore, while it supports various devices, it does not explicitly mention advanced audio processing chips like those found in competing models, meaning the audio quality will rely on your device's internal DAC rather than an external enhancement. If you prioritize raw charging speed and a minimalist design over audio customization, this is your pick. If you need to share audio or require specific high-resolution audio processing, you should skip this option.

The Vcddom adapter takes a completely different approach by focusing on connectivity and audio fidelity. Its standout feature is the inclusion of dual 3.5mm headphone jacks, a design choice that transforms how you share audio experiences. Whether you are a parent managing a road trip with children watching cartoons, or a couple on a cycling date wanting to listen to the same track, the dual ports eliminate the need for a splitter box or awkward volume sharing. The compact, slim design measures roughly 3.94 x 1.57 x 0.39 inches, ensuring it tucks away easily in a pocket or bag without adding bulk. This makes it an excellent companion for bluetooth earbuds for cycling scenarios where you might need to switch to wired backup audio instantly, or for any situation where you need to manage multiple audio sources simultaneously.
Beyond the dual ports, the Vcddom unit integrates a sophisticated DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) chip capable of supporting 24-bit/96kHz Hi-Res audio output. This is a significant detail for audiophiles or anyone sensitive to sound quality. While many basic adapters simply pass the signal through, this chip actively processes the audio, offering noise reduction technology that can make movies or songs sound crystal clear even in noisy environments. If you are using a bluetooth headset for cycling as a backup or prefer the security of a wired connection for critical navigation instructions, the improved clarity provided by this DAC chip can make a noticeable difference in how crisp your voice prompts sound. It also supports inline volume control and call management, giving you tactile feedback without fumbling with your phone screen.
The charging capability here is solid at 60W PD3.0, which is sufficient for most smartphones and smaller tablets. However, it falls short of the 100W capacity found in the Jadebones model, meaning it may not be suitable if you are trying to charge a high-power laptop while listening to music. The manufacturer emphasizes compatibility with a vast array of devices, from the latest iPhone and Galaxy models to older Google Pixels and MacBooks, ensuring broad utility. If you are looking for a versatile hub that lets you share entertainment with friends or kids while keeping devices powered, this is the superior choice. Conversely, if your primary concern is charging a power-hungry laptop at top speed, you should skip this model in favor of the higher-wattage alternative.
• Best for Maximum Charging Speed → Jadebones USB C: With 100W support and a 5A current rating, it is the only choice for charging laptops and high-draw devices efficiently.
• Best for Sharing Audio → Vcddom USB C: The dual 3.5mm jacks allow two people to listen simultaneously, a feature impossible with the single-port Jadebones.
• Best for Audio Fidelity → Vcddom USB C: The built-in 24-bit/96kHz DAC chip and noise reduction technology offer superior sound processing for critical listening.
• Best for Minimalist Design → Jadebones USB C: At just 11 grams with a metallic finish, it is ultra-light and simple, perfect for users who want no extra clutter.
• Best for Families and Group Rides → Vcddom USB C: Ideal for parents or partners who need to distribute audio to multiple listeners during travel or outdoor activities.
• Best for Solo Cyclists → Jadebones USB C: A lightweight, high-power solution for the individual rider who needs reliable power and a single, secure audio connection.
• Best for Device Compatibility → Vcddom USB C: Explicitly lists a wider range of specific phone models and generations, suggesting broader testing across diverse ecosystems.
• Best for Durability and Build → Jadebones USB C: The metallic finish suggests a robust build quality designed to withstand the rigors of daily transport and outdoor use.
When deciding between these two, think about your typical usage patterns. Are you mostly riding alone, focused on your own audio feed and keeping your GPS or phone charged? In that case, the high wattage of the Jadebones is likely the more practical asset. Or, do you frequently find yourself in situations where you need to entertain others, share a playlist, or ensure the best possible sound quality for a movie or game? The Vcddom's dual ports and DAC chip become the deciding factors. There is no single "best" product here; the winner depends entirely on whether your priority is power throughput or audio distribution.
Consider the environment in which you will use these adapters. For kids headphones for cycling, the Vcddom is particularly useful because it allows you to connect a pair for your child and another for yourself, keeping everyone entertained without fighting over a single jack. The ability to run two devices at once reduces the friction of sharing. On the other hand, if you are a professional who uses their phone or tablet for work while commuting, the 100W charging of the Jadebones ensures you don't lose valuable time waiting for a device to power up. The trade-off is clear: you gain power with Jadebones or you gain versatility with Vcddom. Neither is inherently inferior; they simply serve different masters.
After weighing the specifications and real-world applications, I would personally buy the Jadebones USB C for my own daily use. The 100W fast charging capability is a game-changer for me, especially when I am out on a long ride and need to keep my navigation tablet or smartphone fully powered without stopping to find a wall outlet. The ability to charge at that rate while simultaneously using a wired audio connection gives me peace of mind that I won't be left stranded with a dead battery. The metallic build also feels like it will survive the occasional drop or rough handling better than plastic alternatives.
That said, if you are traveling with family or frequently need to share audio, the Vcddom is the smarter investment. But for the solo cyclist who values reliability and power above all else, the Jadebones wins. It is the tool that gets the job done without compromise on the most critical metric: keeping your gear running.
