Developer: Jacquline Mbogo
This Privacy Policy explains how Jacquline Mbogo (“Developer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you download, access, or use our PDF reading, viewing, scanning, organizing, conversion, or document-management application (the “App”).
By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Handle
1.1 Documents and files
The App may request access to PDF files, images, or other supported documents that you select or open.
Documents are processed locally on your device unless the App clearly informs you otherwise before a specific online feature is used. We do not routinely upload, store, read, or collect the contents of your documents on our servers.
You remain responsible for the documents you open, edit, scan, convert, share, or store through the App.
1.2 Device permissions
Depending on the features you use, the App may request permission to access:
- Files, media, or device storage, to locate, open, save, rename, organize, or export documents.
- Camera, when you voluntarily use a document-scanning feature.
- Notifications, to display processing updates, reminders, or other App-related notices.
The App only requests permissions when they are required for the relevant feature. You may manage or revoke permissions through your device settings, although doing so may prevent certain features from working.
1.3 Technical and usage information
We or our service providers may automatically process limited technical information, such as:
- Device type and model.
- Operating system and App version.
- Language, country or general regional settings.
- App interactions and feature usage.
- Installation source.
- Crash reports, error logs, and performance information.
- IP address and network-related information.
- Resettable advertising or app-instance identifiers.
We use this information to operate the App, understand general usage, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, improve performance, and, where applicable, provide or measure advertising.
1.4 Purchase and subscription information
If you purchase a premium feature or subscription, the transaction is processed by Google Play.
We may receive information such as the product purchased, subscription status, transaction token, renewal status, and purchase time. We do not receive or store your complete payment-card information. Payment details are handled by Google Play according to its own terms and privacy practices.
1.5 Communications
If you contact us, we may receive your email address, the content of your message, device or troubleshooting information you choose to provide, and any attachments you voluntarily send.
Please do not send confidential documents unless they are necessary for resolving your request.
2. How We Use Information
Information may be used to:
- Provide document reading, scanning, organization, conversion, search, sharing, and related features.
- Save and restore user preferences.
- Verify purchases and manage premium access.
- Monitor stability, identify crashes, and improve performance.
- Develop and improve features and usability.
- Display, limit, personalize, or measure advertisements where permitted.
- Detect fraud, misuse, security threats, or violations of our terms.
- Respond to support requests and user communications.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
We do not sell the contents of your documents or use private document contents for advertising.
3. Advertising and Analytics
The App may use third-party services such as Google Mobile Ads, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Google Play Services, and Google Play Billing.
Depending on the service and your settings, these providers may process device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP addresses, App interactions, diagnostic data, purchase status, and approximate location inferred from an IP address.
Third-party providers process information under their own privacy policies. You can learn more about Google’s practices at:
https://policies.google.com/privacy
Where required by law, advertising or analytics technologies will be activated only after appropriate notice and consent. You may also be able to limit ad personalization through your Android or Google account settings.
4. Sharing of Information
We may disclose limited information to:
- Hosting, analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, payment, security, or technical service providers.
- Google Play for purchases, subscriptions, licensing, fraud prevention, and App distribution.
- Government authorities or other parties when disclosure is legally required.
- Professional advisers or parties involved in protecting our legal rights.
- A successor or acquiring organization in connection with a merger, restructuring, financing, or transfer of the App, subject to appropriate notice and legal safeguards.
We do not authorize service providers to use personal information for unrelated purposes.
When you intentionally use Android’s sharing tools to send a document to another person or service, the transfer is initiated by you and is governed by the recipient’s privacy practices.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Documents stored locally remain on your device until you delete them, clear the App’s data, or uninstall the App. Uninstalling the App may not delete files that you exported to shared device storage.
We retain support communications for only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, maintain records, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.
Analytics and diagnostic information is retained according to our configured retention periods and the policies of the relevant service provider. We aim to retain identifiable analytics information for no longer than necessary for the purposes described above. Aggregated or de-identified information may be kept for longer where permitted by law.
Because the App does not normally require an account, there may be no App account to delete. You may nevertheless request deletion of personal information held directly by us by emailing jacqulinenyokabi@gmail.com. We may request reasonable information to verify the request.
Certain records may be retained when required for legal compliance, payment disputes, security, fraud prevention, or the establishment and defense of legal claims.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. These measures may include encrypted transmission, restricted access, secure service providers, and data-minimization practices.
No electronic storage or transmission system is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. International Data Processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for international data transfers.
By using the App, you understand that information may be processed in jurisdictions with different data-protection rules, subject to applicable legal requirements.
8. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Request access to personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Request data portability where applicable.
- Submit a complaint to a competent data-protection authority.
You may also control permissions, notifications, advertising preferences, and other privacy settings through your device or Google account.
To submit a privacy request, email jacqulinenyokabi@gmail.com.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required by local law.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain links to websites, advertisements, or services operated by third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for their privacy, security, content, or data-handling practices.
We recommend reviewing the policies of a third-party service before using it or providing information to it.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, our data practices, legal requirements, or third-party services.
When material changes are made, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Continued use of the App after a revised policy becomes effective constitutes acknowledgment of the updated policy.
