I obtained my PhD from the University of Turin (Italy) in collaboration with the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew (UK) in January 2020 with a thesis entitled "Molecular Ecology and Conservation of Mediterranean Orchids and their Mycorrhizal Fungi". After that I had a postdoctoral position at the Plant Interactions Lab of Prof. Karl J. Duffy - University of Naples Federico II - to work on orchid ecology with a particular focus on the interaction with mycorrhizal fungi.
My work is focused on the conservation of Mediterranean orchid species, with particular interest in the interactions with mycorrhizal fungi and how they can affect orchid germination, development and distribution.
My research interests include in vitro propagation, molecular ecology, population genetics and biotic and abiotic factors affecting orchid persistence in their natural habitats.
