In 2018 our Dad's 20 years of eligibility as a modern era candidate for the Pro Football Hall of Fame ran out. Unfortunately, this now places him the senior ballot, which consists of far too many deserving players already. The process for the senior group is a little different with a group of twelve voters meeting to nominate their finalist(s) every Summer but those finalists still need to get at least 80% of the votes "in the room" on Super Bowl Weekend. Prior to this vote in August the list of finalists is generated from mailed in ballots of nomination and this is where we are asking the loyal DC sports fans for help.

We would like to start a campaign to get the senior committee's attention as to the error they have made in overlooking our Dad for the past 25 years. We want to start mailing, emailing, and utilizing social media to reach out to the voters to show them why our dad belongs in the HOF. Washington fans are the best in the league and the Jacoby family knows that - we have personally witnessed it and felt the love over the past few years and even more so the years he was a HOF finalist. We weren't alive to remember his playing days and the support & love you showed the team but if it's anything like what we've experienced since his retirement, there is not a better fan base in the world.

We cannot express how grateful we are to the loyal DC fans because our dad is more than deserving of it - we are definitely biased in this area but since he won't say it we will. We believe he belongs with the other greats of the gridiron in the NFL Hall of Fame and we would be honored and humbled if you would take the time to send a letter, email or even a tweet to the senior committee members.
