Nottingham Observations

Very easily walkable. Lots of signage everywhere, very directly marked bike and pedestrian lanes. I loved how much the streets were made for people to walk wherever they need to go. Houses were all mostly built in rows and connected in our area. Lots of small fences for little gardens. Some houses had very little decoration, while others tried to beautify their corner of the world.

The little grocery store we went to was more of a corner store. Lots of plastic everywhere, very similar to ours. I also went to a Tesco later in the day and noticed some differences. The eggs weren’t refrigerated and there were some pastries out in the open. Also lots of plastic.

The transit system was extremely efficient. We went on a bus and it was very quiet and streamlined. The buses were color-coded (ours was blue) and also each had their own number.
