Jacob Klimek

Ph.D. Candidate

Department of Economics

UNC - Chapel Hill

I am a 5th year Ph.D. candidate with an interest broadly in health economics. I will be on the job market at ASSA 2022 in Boston. See my Research page for current papers. I have interests in individual health and health behaviors, particularly as it impacts infant health as well as interest in policies that impact the supply environment related to health care, particularly optimal payment policy in Medicare. In my job market paper, available here, I apply this toolbox to look at the dynamic effects of substance use on pregnancy and birth outcomes. A detailed research statement is available here.
