What makes me, me.
I am a husband and father of 3 amazing, creative, and ambitious children. My wife is a dedicated and passionate student-centered science teacher. We love spending time outdoors, especially camping and hiking as much as we can. Our weekends typically involve my son's basketball games, my daughter's plays/theater, fishing, hiking, and family time activities.
As a lifelong learner, I enjoy the learning process. I prefer to read a book about "how to make it happen" rather than "what happened" if you know what I mean. I also enjoy teaching others how to maximize their potential. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Family & Consumer Sciences Education and a Master of Arts in Differentiated Instruction for At Risk Learners. Both degrees have been paramount in building an instructional skill set which has provided opportunities to teach, assess, and provide timely feedback in several different elective courses for multiple grade levels (including AVID courses). I recently graduated from the Carroll University's Educational Leadership Program in May 2024 with an Administrative License (#5051) and I intend to be a school leader as a Principal, Associate Principal, or Dean of Students.
In addition to being head coach in several sports over the span of my career, I've also been my Department Chair for the bulk of it in two different school districts (Waukesha and Elmbrook). I've conducted countless invaluable observations and learning walks, which have afforded me the opportunity to coach, mentor, support, and provide student-centered feedback to colleagues.
