Hi, I'm Jacob Greenspon, an economist interested in research on labour markets, the energy transition, history, and innovation/productivity. I also regularly publish policy research and other public writing

I am a Doctoral candidate in Economics (DPhil) at the University of Oxford, under the supervision of Noam Yuchtman, Niclas Moneke, and Nathan Lane. I concurrently work as a Research Coordinator for Gordon Hanson and Dani Rodrik at the Harvard Kennedy School Reimagining the Economy project. I have recently served as a consultant on energy transition research at Resources for the Future, the World Bank (Development Research Group), and the Institute for Research on Public Policy. I previously studied for a Master in Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, a MA in Economics at Queen’s University, and a BA in Economics and Political Science at McGill University and have worked as an economist and research assistant at various think tanks, government organizations, and academic research centres in Canada and the US.
