Jacob Garcia

I'm currently a lecturer for the Mathematical Sciences Department at Smith College, Massachusetts. My advisor is Matthew Gentry Durham. I am studying geometric group theory and boundaries of geometric spaces. Specifically I am interested in studying the properties of groups acting on their boundaries at infinity. Prior to coming to Riverside, I received a Master's of Science in Mathematics from Ball State University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from the University of California, Davis. While at Ball State I did research in generalized covering space theory under the supervision of Professor Hanspeter Fischer
