Outside of work, my passions lie in travel, adventure, backpacking, kayaking, snowboarding, and tinkering on things. Here are some fun projects I have been working on in the past few years.
I have a passion for fabricating and building things. I have always enjoyed tinkering with things and working with my hands.
During college I would buy blown engines for cheap just to take them apart. While doing this, I decided it would be fun to make things out of some of the parts. I made several lamps and even a chair out of old camshafts, crankshafts, gears, and other engine components.
Having access to a media blasting cabinet and media blasting booth was great not only for working on my project 1969 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ55, but also for stripping the engine components down to bare metal to make into fun art pieces.
In my free time, you will often find me in the garage working on a car whether that be maintenance on my imported Subaru Sambar Kei Truck, modifications to my FZJ80 Toyota Land Cruiser, or welding on my project 1969 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ55 I am in the process of restoring. I rebuilt the engine in my first truck, and I've been in the process of rebuilding an old diesel tractor engine.
