What are others saying about Jacob Anderson?

Dr. Kevin Rogers, Recently Retied LISD Superintendent

"Hello, I’m Dr. Kevin Rogers, a 36-year LISD veteran of LISD and recently retired LISD Supt. who has personally seen the remarkable service Jacob Anderson has provided to our students and staff while working at Central Elementary in LISD. It’s for this and many other reasons that I wholeheartedly endorse Jacob Anderson for School Board, Place 7! Jacob understands service because of his faith in God and how others in his past have made a difference in his life. Today, his life is all about serving others – whether at church, fostering young children, working previously for Child Protective Services, serving in Big Brother and Big Sisters, making mission trips to Kenya, or being the proud father of two young children. He worked at Central ES as a teacher for 7 years and then asst. principal for another 2 years – serving some of LISD’s neediest students. This is where I first witnessed his dedication to his students and colleagues. Jacob also understands the support our teachers need in these difficult times. He is passionate about public schools while also focused on how LISD can strive for continuous improvement. The culmination of his experiences will help him be an excellent. School Board member.

I sincerely believe Jacob Anderson understands the commitment, teamwork, and problem-solving leadership required to ensure Lewisville ISD continues to be a great place for our students and staff. He will listen to our parents and our community while working diligently to improve opportunities for all students. He truly understands the task of governing the largest employer in Denton County (LISD) whose mission is to serve our students! He is a man of high morals that genuinely believes in servant-leadership.

Please join me in electing Jacob Anderson for Lewisville ISD School Board, Place 7."

"I met Jacob Anderson a few years ago and had the opportunity to work with him on a LISD Title 1 campus. Jacob is a genuine human with a huge heart. He is an individual who possesses great leadership skills as well as demonstrates empathy and compassion for all. Jacob is committed to providing students and teachers a welcoming environment, cultivating respect and trust. He believes the importance of the whole child perspective; building relationships with students and staff in order to improve academic success."

Diana Gonzalez, Private Citizen and LISD Parent

"I met Jacob Anderson some years ago and had the opportunity to work closely with him as his partner-teacher in the 3rd grade dual language program at Central Elementary. Jacob always advocated for every child and provided different opportunities for them to be successful. Jacob not only demonstrates respect for every child and their families but he embraces and celebrates different cultures. Additionally, he is always receptive to new ideas and finding ways to build good relationships and help our community. I know whole-heartedly that Jacob is a great educational leader and will be a great school board trustee for LISD. Vote for Jacob!"

Larry Blair, Private Citizen & Former Dallas CASA Board Member

"When Jacob first mentioned that he was going to run for the LISD School Board, my initial thought was to question why he would put himself through that. But it quickly dawned on me that doing so would be consistent with his belief system, passion, and character. I first met Jacob several years ago through working with his wife and learning of their involvement with CASA as foster parents. A friendship developed and I watched him advance from teaching to becoming an assistant principal, and now running for the school board. All things considered, it is hard to imagine a better qualified candidate for this role than Jacob:

Please vote for Jacob Anderson for the LISD School Board."

Kathy Pittinger, Retired LISD Educator & GT Facilitator, Current Headmaster of Naha Academy

"Professional, Engaged, Dedicated, Trustworthy, Result-Oriented, Advocate for students. These are just the first few adjectives that come to my mind when I think of Mr. Jacob Anderson. I met Jacob about ten years ago when we served together on an educational missionary trip to Kenya. His skill set was effectively used during those years as a special education teacher and also third grade teacher. I partnered directly with him to meet the needs of some of the students in his class who needed additional services. During this time it was evident that his professionalism and dedication to his students was unmatched.

After a few short years serving as a classroom teacher, Jacob was promoted to assistant principal where he used his skills, talents and compassion to advocate for the students and staff of his elementary school. Jacob’s heart has always been about improving situations for the children he has served, both in his role as a teacher and also as a school administrator.

Jacob is intelligent, tireless and hard working; his problem solving skills are creative. He does not give up when the going gets tough. Having the heart of an encourager, Jacob makes every team he is on BETTER.

Jacob Anderson deserves your vote for school board.

He will get the job done!"

Dr. Lea Devers, Region 11 Administrator Coach, Public Educator, Former Campus Principal, Leadership Consultant

"I met Jacob Anderson when he was a classroom teacher and specialist for students with special needs. The first thing I noticed about Jacob was his huge heart and passion for education. He never hesitated to advocate for students or model advocacy for everyone around him. He always held high expectations for children and truly believed in them no matter what challenges they faced. He lead the charge to seek solutions and he also worked in the trenches to get things done! We need leaders in our community who understand public education from all angles and who will not hesitate to do the work.

Rita Pierson said "Every kid needs a champion" and Jacob Anderson is the champion that we need for our children and public education."

Lindsay Henderson, Campus Principal & United Way Dancing Queen

"Lewisville ISD Friends, Jacob Anderson is running for LISD School Board and what a excellent candidate who has walked in the shoes of public education as a teacher, administrator, and parent. The world of education is complex right now, and it’s faced with picking up the many pieces left behind from the COVID-19 pandemic. Jacob will be an asset to this work. Over the 10 years I have known him, I have seen Jacob lead with a servant’s heart, keep the classroom at the heart of his work, seek to understand others’ perspectives, and build strong, caring relationships with others. From training teachers in Kenya to leading Title 1 campuses, Jacob is more than ready to serve Lewisville ISD in this critical way. Let’s go Jacob!"

"I would like to endorse Jacob Anderson for a position on the LISD school board. I have known Jacob for seven years. I first worked with him when I became a school counselor at Central Elementary.  He was a self-contained teacher and a special education teacher. After 4 years, he became vice-principal at Lakeland Elementary. What do I look for in a school board representative? I want someone who is aware of what goes on in the schools. Do they visit the schools, participate in district functions, and readily accept questions and comments from parents, students, and school staff?  I can say for Jacob, the answer is yes. As a current realtor with Keller Williams, Jacob still visits the schools and asks how he and his company can serve the schools. He currently attends school board meetings and participates in the trainings offered. Research the current candidates but if you want someone who walks the walk vote for Jacob to continue to lead LISD in a positive direction."

J'Layne White, Private Citizen

"LISD friends, my friend Jacob Anderson is running for School Board Place 7. He is a special education teacher and an Assistant Principal from LISD. He recently had a career change, so he is perfectly positioned to run for school board and help represent the interests of the staff, students, and families in LISD. His education background will be instrumental to the voice of our local school board. Local elections matter!"

Candelario "C.J." Jauregui, Private Citizen & Son of Educators

"I have come to know Jacob well over the past few years. I have always been impressed with our many conversations regarding his dedication to the education of his students, especially those of LISD.

I am a child of retired educators, including a former school superintendent. I can honestly say I see in Jacob the same level of devotion to ensuring students of all backgrounds have the same educational resources and opportunities.

It is no surprise to me that Jacob wants to continue his calling to the students of LISD by serving on the school board. I truly believe Jacob will be a true champion for LISD, dedicated to the continued and necessary steps for success now and in the years to come."
