Two renders of a studio project in which the task was to create a ritual space/structure to facilitate experincing a part of the landscpe of the Minnehaha Falls Regional Park. Both a physical bridge made from a steel frame and wooden meditation baords and a metaphroical bridge between the built environemnt and the natural world.Â
The extended platforms are intented to be meditation spaces large enough for a single person to sit, stand or lay down on and experince nature, specifically the water running underneath. Materials used are intended to make the bridge disapear into the surrounding landscape. Designed to be placed along the creek that flows between the Minnehaha Falls and the Missippi River. Can be shortend or elongated to span different lengths by adding or subtracting modules.
Six diagrams from a studio proejct in which the task was to deconstruct a existing architectural plan into new and different architectual artifacts. These could then be used as reference for a new buildings form or stand alone drawing left up to viewers interpretation.
Three photos of a studio porject in which the task was to create a container/box made exclusively out of one material. Made entirely out of plastic bags this box features a lid, closing tieoff and sewed edges. Plastic bags were chosen as a means of reusing a porduct that is one of, if not the most thrown out single-use product in the world and one that has major deterimental impacts on the environemnt and subsequently all living organisms.
An old photo from a studio project where the task was to incorporate something of interest into our current living rooms in a foam core model. This features my cats as a scale figure.
