This is my calling.

From the upper bowl of the old Giants Stadium, I grew up watching larger-than-life athletes compete at the highest level every fall weekend. By Monday morning, I was eager to break down coaching decisions, player performances, and the latest storylines with my friends, classmates, and teachers. Throughout the years, I became interested in the people behind the product—athletes, coaches, fans, journalists, and the communities that make it all possible. As my passion for sports grew, I created @jetsbyjack, a group of social media profiles covering the New York Jets, which attracted more than 100,000 monthly visitors who relied on my credibility and consistency.

Learning the importance of building and maintaining credibility helped develop a dedication to producing quality journalism. At SUNY Suffolk, after serving as vice president of the journalism club and a staff writer for Compass News, I was elected managing editor of the student-run publication, where I wrote informative, in-depth articles covering topics concerning the college community. I interviewed students, educators, faculty members, and local experts for stories ranging from a call for donations after a food shortage on campus to repeated power outages that prompted criticism from students and educators. During my time as an editor, Compass News earned first place for Best College Newspaper at the 2026 Press Club of Long Island Media Awards Banquet, and I received the first-place award for Best Sports Reporting Narrative in the Student Journalism division for my story, SCCC Women’s Soccer Places 3rd in Nationals—A Program Record.

I currently write for Marymount University’s Office of Marketing & Communications, covering campus developments and producing articles for official university communication. I also continue to write about sports, examining the role that sports play in shaping people, communities, and culture for Stollow Media, my personal Substack publication.
