I sharpen all types of hockey skates using the Sparx Skate Sharpener — trusted by pros for its consistent and accurate edge every time. Whether you're hitting the ice for practice or playoffs, I'll get your skates game-ready.
I offer figure skate sharpening using the Sparx system, ideal for recreational and beginner skaters. Please note: I do not sharpen competitive or professional figure skates at this time.
All skate sharpening is performed with care to provide consistent and high-quality edges. Blade condition may affect the final result. Severely worn or uneven blades may require additional work to restore proper edges.
Brand-new skates or first-time sharpenings require additional passes to properly set the edges. Because of the extra time and work required, the cost for sharpening new skates is $16.00.
If blades have nicks, rust, or other surface damage, additional sharpening passes may be required to improve the blade condition. Work addressing blade damage starts at a minimum of $20.00, depending on the severity. While every effort will be made to improve the blade, full restoration cannot be guaranteed.
Customers are responsible for ensuring their skate blades are in suitable condition for sharpening. We are not responsible for issues resulting from pre-existing damage, excessive wear, rust, cracks, or manufacturing defects in the blade steel.
In some cases, blades may be too damaged or worn to safely repair or sharpen. In these situations, service may be declined to prevent further damage.
All prices listed are base prices and may vary depending on blade condition and the amount of work required. Customers will be informed if additional work is required before proceeding with the service.
By submitting skates for sharpening or repair, customers acknowledge that skate blades and equipment may have existing wear, defects, or structural weaknesses. While every effort is made to provide safe and high-quality service, we are not liable for blade failure, breakage, or performance issues resulting from pre-existing conditions or normal use of the equipment.
