Jack Rowe, 1920 - 2017

Jack knew he would be an artist from an early age in Muncie, Indiana. He attended Wayman Adams' art school in Elizabethtown, New York until serving in the Army during WWII. After the war, he returned to Muncie, married Shirley Nation,  attended Ball State, and later matriculated from the Art Institute of Chicago.  After years of capitalizing on  commercial art as a day job, Jack retired to Palm Desert, California, where he built a studio and successfully taught watercolor to many loyal students. He became a signature member of Watercolor West in the '90s and made art daily,  up until the day he passed. To say he loved art is an understatement. Jack Rowe was art.
