I had the privilege of representing the EU Youth Sounding Board (YSB) as a speaker at the inaugural launch of the Center of Vocational Excellence (COVE) in Agriculture Mechanization in Malawi at Lilongwe Technical College.
Recognition
I was honored to be recognized as a student of the week by Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) during my second year.
I received two awards from the Bunda Economics Association during my freshman year as Best Debate Researcher and Member of the Year.
Student Mentor | YESI Malawi
As a student mentor with the Youth Empowerment and Support Initiative, I am privileged to inspire students on academic excellence, goal setting, and leadership. My own journey to college serves as a testament to the power of resilience and determination. Having attended a Community Day Secondary School (CDSS) - one of the least resourced schools in Malawi - I understand firsthand the challenges that many students face in CDSSs. However, I also know that with mentorship, anyone can achieve their dreams. I share my story to inspire young people in CDSSs to believe in themselves, work hard, and pursue excellence in all they do. Find out about our work at YESI here: https://yesinitiativemw.org/
As President of the Bunda Economics Association, I have the privilege of leading a vibrant community of economics students at Bunda Campus, which falls within the Agricultural and Applied Economics Department of LUANAR, for the 2024/2025 academic year.
My goal is to inspire and equip fellow students to discover their leadership potential, unlock their strengths, and become their best selves.
Vice Chairperson | EU-MW YSB
In the first half of 2024, I had the privilege of serving as Vice Chairperson for the inaugural Youth Sounding Board (YSB) Malawi. The YSB is a dynamic group of 15 outstanding young Malawians who provide strategic counsel to the European Union Delegation. Our mission is to enhance EU development cooperation policies, making them more inclusive, relevant, and effective in addressing the unique needs and concerns of Malawian youth.
