For a long time, I've always told myself to keep moving, and look at the world as if I am a tourist, so then I can see it with full excitement. This series "Footstep of a Stranger - Malone, NY" features winter scenes around Malone, New York, where I have been staying in 2020. However, when I take a ride in the winter, everything just "vzewww" in front of my eyes... Nothing lasts, except for my memories. The word “ephemeral” describes that feeling the best. I wanted to paint these as a way to treasure the time I was here. Although each of my paintings is inspired by a specific subject that excites me, all of their perspectives are shifted, colors are invented, details are added to capture the feelings I had the moment I looked at them.
These original paintings are all watercolor or gouache on 5.5" x 8.5" high quality watercolor paper. Because I was getting ready for the show at the Pouring Lights Studio, all are framed in 8" x 10" gallery professional frames. Please contact me if you have questions or are interested in any.
