A Personal Note in October 2022:
I haven't seen Tony in person for almost 15 years. In Oct 2022, Tony flew from KAUST to NYC for an academic conference in NYU. Squeezed into his busy schedule, we were able to meet in the Marriott and I insisted that first we should have a photo together.
There are billions of people on this planet, but those who have truly shaped your life are usually only the very few. Tony has been like my brother and father, and above all, also a most decent person, scholar, and world leader with all the Confucius merits.
There will be a New-Trends Conference in Caltech in honor of Tony's 70th birthday.
Happy Birthday, Dear Tony! And many many happy years ahead.
