Me and my friend Tien in front of La Sagrada Familia.
I had always wanted to visit Spain since watching the episodes on Gaudí's architecture on the TV show Architecture Dreams (筑梦天下). When I stopped by the Study Abroad Fair as a Freshman, the Spain Study Abroad Program poster featuring La Sagrada Familia immediately caught my attention. However, the Spanish I learned in high school was only sufficient to fulfil the course requirement for SPAN101 and 102 at BYU. To meet the prerequisites for the study abroad program, I spent the next two years taking SPAN105, 106, 205, and 206 in addition to my other coursework. My dream came true on Nov. 8th, 2019, when I visited La Sagrada Familia and Park Güell on my studying abroad. My experiences and time spent in Spain were beyond incredible, and since then, I continued studying Spanish and now have a B.A. in Spanish Studies from BYU.
