SCHOOL BACKGROUND & HISTORY

JABEZ CHRISTIAN SCHOOL is located at Gov. Drive, Sampaloc I, Dasmariñas, Cavite, and was founded year 1996, as Munting Ilaw Center (MILC) by Ms. Sabine Bock. It was established under its new name Shining Light Kiddie Center (SLKC). It offered Pre-Elementary Education from K1, k2, and K3 to children from surrounding communities and the preschool children of the Home of Joy Orphanage. With a remarkable response from the community, SLKC grew and became JABEZ CHRISTIAN SCHOOL (JCS) in 1997. Then the school was duly registered in 2006.

JABEZ CHRISTIAN SCHOOL is bound to its fundamental curricular duty to ensure all pupils master a core of knowledge and skills imbued in the JCS K to 12 Diamond Curriculum, which is essential to their aptitudes as students developing holistically in WISDOM and STATURE, and IN FAVOR WITH GOD and Men as Jesus did (Luke 2:52), being exposed and growing in different aspects of intelligence such as Verbal/Linguistic (Word Smart), Logical/Mathematical (Logic Smart), Naturalist (Nature Smart), Technological (Technologically Smart), Practical Life (Practical Living Smart), Musical/Rhythmic (Music Smart), Visual/Spatial (Picture Smart), Bodily/Kinesthetic (Body Smart), Spiritual (Spiritually Smart), Intrapersonal (Self Smart) and interpersonal (People Smart).

The Laurel leaves symbolize excellence. Laurel leaves were used in ancient times as a symbol of achievement and excellence and are placed as crowns on the heads of people who are in authority or those who excelled in a particular endeavor.

The Bible represents the Word of God as the sole authority of Faith and Practice of every believer. God’s Word is the traveler’s map, the pilot’s compass, the pilgrim’s staff, the soldier’s sword, and the believer’s log. The Bible contains light to direct you, comfort to console you, food to sustain you, wisdom to teach you, and fire to warm you. The scripture says in Luke 2:52 “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” JCS believes that children and youth must grow as Jesus grew.

The Earth symbolizes the world or the whole of humanity that needs spiritual transformation and regeneration through our Lord Jesus Christ. It represents the new generation of young people that needs holistic growth and development through Christian education.

The Torch symbolizes life and truth as spoken by our Lord Jesus Christ in John 8:12 "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." It also symbolizes the light that Christians should keep on shining as commanded in Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

PHILOSOPHY

JCS regards every child as a unique individual who possesses different sets of abilities or intelligence designed by God. JCS believes that the highest goal of education is to help develop the students into the person that God created them to be and to guide them in fulfilling their God-given purpose. Every child must be developed and appreciated for the unique sets of abilities God has bestowed on them. 

Jabez Christian School holistically upholds the importance of quality and relevant education to meet the evolving demands of 21st-century learners in a rapidly advancing technological world. The school is committed to continuously upgrading its systems and innovations to ensure a progressive and future-ready learning environment.
