The Circle and its Colors symbolize wholeness, nurturing, perfection, centering, revolution, infinity and completion. Yellow represents acquired knowledge, uplifting and illuminating, offering hope, happiness, cheerfulness and fun. Blue represents trust, honesty and loyalty, reliable and responsible. Seeks peace and tranquility, and wisdom comes from its higher level of intelligence, a spiritual perspective.
The Laurel leaves symbolize excellence. Laurel leaves were used in ancient times as symbol of achievement and excellence and are placed as crown on the head of people who are in authority or those who excelled in a particular endeavor.
The Bible represents the Word of God as the sole authority of Faith and Practice of every believer. God’s Word is the traveler’s map, the pilot’s compass, the pilgrim’s staff, the soldier’s sword, and the believer’s log. The Bible contains light to direct you, comfort to console you, food to sustain you, wisdom to teach you, fire to warm you. The scripture says in Luke 2:52 “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” JCS believes that children and youth must grow as Jesus grew.
The Earth symbolizes the world or the whole humanity that needs spiritual transformation and regeneration through our Lord Jesus Christ. It represents the new generation of young people that needs holistic growth and development through Christian education.
The Torch symbolizes life and truth as spoken by our Lord Jesus Christ in John 8:12 "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." It also symbolizes the light that Christian should keep on shining as commanded in Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
JCS regard every child as a unique individual who possesses different sets of abilities or intelligence designed by God. JCS believes that the highest goal of education is to help develop the students into the person that God created them to be, and to guide them in fulfilling their God-given purpose. Every child must be developed and appreciated for the unique sets of abilities God has bestowed on him.
Luke 2:52 accounts the Lord Jesus Christ’s development as a person. “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and men.” This reflects the totality of growth and development involving all domains—intellectual, physical, spiritual and social. This is the very principle that Jabez Christian School is harnessing as its approach in education because children are gifts from God who must be loved and cared for. Each child is unique, has distinct interest, abilities and skills. He enjoys the right to learn, express himself and exist in his environment.
The school must exist to provide a quality education that meets different aspects of the learner. The child learns through active interaction with people, environment and varied materials. He learns through planned and unplanned activities that are being done both indoors and outdoors in a safe and healthy environment.
JCS envisions to be a leading Christian international school assisting parents in nurturing, developing and equipping children and youth to be of service to God, family and society and transforming lives for God’s glory.
JCS commit itself in exceeding standards towards the promotion of holistic child development and equipping of children and youth to become lifelong active learners, to deal with life, be of service to God, and become responsible members of their family and society.
