While studying in Florence, Italy, I was challenged to connect with the community while conducting interviews with locals and writing Florence-based feature stories. I practiced converting theory into practice by speaking with small-business owners, attending an Italian press conference at the Galleria dell' Accademia, and writing news stories about current art exhibitions at the Uffizi.
