RJ Dev Studio ("we", "us", or "our") built the Jaap Counter app as a free app with an optional premium upgrade. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.
We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII). Specifically, we do not collect your:
Name
Email address
Phone number
Address
Contacts
Photos
Precise location
We only collect limited anonymous usage and diagnostic data to improve the app, as described below.
The following data is stored locally on your device only:
Mantra profiles and names
Jaap counts and round history
App settings, language, and theme preferences
Premium purchase status
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the Export Data feature to share it.
Jaap Counter offers an optional one-time premium upgrade through Google Play Billing.
All purchase transactions are handled entirely by Google Play. We do not collect, process, or store any payment information.
Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details on how Google handles purchase data:
To understand how the app is used and to fix bugs, we use:
Google Firebase Analytics
Google Firebase Crashlytics
The anonymous data collected may include:
App interaction events (such as mala completions, screen views, and button taps)
Language preference (English / Hindi)
Premium status (purchased / not purchased)
App version, Android version, device model, and country (coarse location derived from IP)
Crash reports and error logs (including stack traces)
Anonymous Firebase Installation ID
We do not collect:
Name
Email address
Phone number
Exact location
Contacts
Photos
Microphone audio
Any other personal data
The Firebase Installation ID is randomly generated and resets when you reinstall the app or clear app data.
More information:
The app uses the following third-party services:
Google Play Billing — for processing in-app purchases
Google Firebase Analytics — for anonymous usage analytics
Google Firebase Crashlytics — for anonymous crash reporting
Google Play In-App Review API — for in-app rating prompts
We do not use advertising, ad-tracking, or user-profiling services.
Jaap Counter is intended for users aged 13 and above.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
All app data (mantras, counts, profiles, and history) is stored locally on your device and protected by your device’s built-in security features, such as screen lock and encryption.
Anonymous analytics and crash data are transmitted securely to Google using encrypted HTTPS connections.
If you uninstall the app, all locally stored data is permanently deleted.
You have full control over your local data using the app’s:
Export Data
Import Data
Clear Data
features.
Uninstalling the app deletes all local data.
Because analytics data is anonymous and not linked to your identity, it cannot be individually deleted.
Google automatically removes this data after its standard retention period. You can also reset your anonymous Installation ID by clearing app data or reinstalling the app.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Any changes will be reflected on this page along with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
